skippytrailer's 1996 Dodge Ram This is my 1996 Dodge Ram 1500 Sport 4x4, bought it new in late '96, it now has over 140,000 miles on it and still runs great! I rebuilt it the way I wanted, CUSTOM. I started by buying a Cowl induction hood that work along with a K&N Aircharger system with a Xtreme flow-through K&N top filter, this set-up works great with cowl hoods! A new custom Grille and Front Bumber from Aim Industries in Mesa, AZ, with two 4" Piaa Fogg lights. An American Thunder exhaust, I also installed a Jacobs ignition system, Mopar performance computer with a Jet Performance chip, Jacobs Coil, took of the Fan and installed Dual Black magic electric fans from Jegs, which adds a few horses by reducing drag on the crank. I est. the horsepower around 290+ with the installs. Transmission was helped with the Installation of a B&M shift kit which was fairly easy, took a Saturday afternoon, I highly recommed installing a shift kit, I LOVE IT, it makes a huge difference! skippytrailer's 1996 Dodge Ram skippytrailer's 1996 Dodge Ram
skippytrailer's 1996 Dodge Ram I then purchased some new rims and tires, 16 x 8 Weld Rims, 285/75 BF Goodrich Mud Terrains to replace the stock rims and All-Terrains I had on the truck. Now it was time to paint, I first Primered the truck with Black Primer, I left it primered for a few months, thought it looked different, like a 40' or 50's hot rod.
skippytrailer's 1996 Dodge Ram I purchased a few gallons of Dodge Viper Red and some clear and more primer, skippytrailer's 1996 Dodge Ram
it took me a whole weekend to re-primer and sand and prep to paint, and a couple hours to shoot it with the Viper Red and a few coats of clear, I still need to wet sand it, but too dam lazy too. skippytrailer's 1996 Dodge Ram skippytrailer's 1996 Dodge Ram

How easy was the electric fans install? Im thinking about doing that cause my fan clutch is robbing me of all my horsepower. Lemme know thanks man
