This car was STOLEN on 8th November 2007 from Birmingham NEC car parks, England.
It is assumed the car was taken as a profressional job because it was taken along with a number of Subaru Impreza STi's. I would love to know what the theives did when they realised they hadnt stolen an Evo IX and had infact taken something completely useless to them, as all the parts on the car are only for the US Lancer Ralliart 2.4 car, which is not sold in Europe!
Also, if only the theives had waited a week, they would have gotten a turbocharger with it... Alas the turbo kit is now up for sale.
I replaced the car with a Mitsubishi Evo IX FQ-340.

Its ironic...
The theives wanted an Evo IX... they stole a lancer that looked like an Evo IX by mistake...
And as a result... I AM THE ONE who gets an Evo IX!!!

The First Word
First things first, it must be said that all work done on this car is DIY - done in my mates home garage!
This car, could not have been possible without my best mate Carl Stratton. He has spent months on his back for me... under the car bolting things up and all sorts. I had the visions and dreams of what I wanted to do with this car, and he was the one who put it all together.
Here he is, with the tool he used the most during the engine swap, the gorilla bar!

Without the turbo charger, the tuned up NA 4G69 was estimated at the following numbers:
Normally Aspirated 2.4L (October 2006 - October 2007)
Engine CC: 2384
Horsepower: Approx 200Bhp (Approx 175 ATW)
(Stock 162bhp, tune gain: 38bhp)
Weight: 1100Kg
Torque: Approx 200 Lbs Ft
0-60mph: Approx 6.5s
About the Car
At the present time, this is a highly modified Mitsubishi Lancer 2.4 MIVEC Normally Aspirated - the ONLY one in Europe! The car however, started out life as a 1.6 base model in the UK. In October 2007, a turbo kit will be installed with a moderate tune initially, and then following that, the car will be converted to AWD and then the tune will be increased.

I am 23 years old, and have owned the car since 2005. I post on EvoM under the name, "Diavlo", and I think Im recognised as both a dreamer and a doer in the Lancer community. I have achieved an engine swap, a full conversion of the tailgate to resemble an Evo IX, and numerous other quirky little firsts.
