Hey all, just got me this 1980 Ford Pinto.

pjtoad2's 1980 Ford Pinto

I got this ride for only 100$.
t
Its in pretty good shape for its age. No threw body rust the paints chipped a bit and its got some dings. The seats are in good shape and the door panels are fairly good. The carpets and head liner need to be replaced. Needs new dash but what do you expect. The engine needs some work, needs timing and a valve cover gasket. I think there is a small knock in the motor but not sure yet. I had to fix a leak on the Sending Unit in the fuel tank, if any body gots a Sending Unit for a 1980 Ford Pinto Please send me a E-Mail at pjtoad@yahoo.com, I really need this part and Ford doesn't make that part any more thanks. Ive got a few pics so take a look and stay up to date with this project.

Well i hate to say it but I had to sell the car I needed the money and i ran into some title troubles so its gone, another car fell to the harsh ending they call a salvage yard and all I got was my money back 100$. Oh well more time to put into my Buick.

Sorry to hear that you sold the Pinto.. there was great potential there. Hopefully someone will save it from the salvage yard.

Is this one of the special Pintos? With a smaller engine and a five on the floor. They get 28 mpg city and 34 mpg highway! If not---well that's cool too...

great car. Before I bought my cuda tried buying a pinto wagon in mint shape but wife and friends told me not to. When I finally said hell with it , I'm buying it for myself it was already sold. oh well! Love that Torino style paint job. Planning on bringing it back to life or did you just pick it up because you needed something in a tight budget? well 5 stars on your find! Check out my cuda sometime and rate it if you like it.

Hey...Your Pinto takes me back to when my Sunbird was new and my best friend bought the Pinto. We spent 15yrs upgrading and trying to outdo each other on the street and at the shows. I still have the Bird! He quit after dropping in a 302 and still could not beat me. Thanks for the memories.....5 stars from me to get ya started!!!! click on my name in your guestbook to take you to my site. Give me a vote and drop me a post on whatcha think.....Have an AWESOME new year and good luck with your project.
