This is my 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier LS 4 Door. Since getting my hands on it back in August, the car has been modified from the engine to the interior while basic maintenance has been performed. I am looking forward to 2007 when I will do extensive suspension modifications and hopefully Magnaflow will have a catalytic converter ready for me. The vehicle has been improved in horsepower while I have reached 38.81 to 40.16 miles per gallon highway.
The Cavalier is a pretty good car. I think I may be one of the few people who has the Magnaflow Dual Exhaust Catback systems, a cold air intake from K&N is in operation, AirAid Throttlebody Spacer and other computer tuning chips. The car uses only premium grade fuel, Mobile 1 Synthetic is giving me the best start up, transmission fluids, radiator fluids, fuel filters and brack fluids have been flushed so it runs like new everytime.
2007 August holds suspension upgrades, lowering kit, new shocks. Magnaflow is in the process of designing a catalytic converter for the 2003-2004 Chevrolet Cavalier which I am waiting for to improve exhaust flow. 2008 holds new headers, multiple carb kit, and possibly a twin turbo for the right price. Note there has been and will be no body work done to this vehicle. I will replace the spoiler with an aluminum wing but there will be no body kits. I am not a fan of the cost of the kit or painting it and the streets would destroy the kit. Besides as you see I am doing just fine without the kit or skirts.
UPDATE 02/17/07
The wheels from Motegi Racing have been an excellent addition. Running on 17 inch gunmetal wheels, the handling has been improved slightly. No one would seem to even locate yokahamas for me in fear of losing business on the brands shops push. So I ended up getting the Hankook Ventus HRII low profiles. They do pretty good. Since the 17s did not take up as much room as I thought we are going to lower the car next.
UPDATE 06/03/07
I will have new pictures put up soon. Magnaflow still has not made a new converter. I am keeping the inside of my car a secret right now but it will look nice in another month. In a maintenance report I had to get two poly rib belts connected to my alternator replaced because they were scratching at start up and wearing out...and she has only 70050 miles on her. Wierd...! Listen up Cavy drivers, K&N just made a new oil high flow oil filter, see what happens when you put synthetic through it :) Will keep you posted.
Update 08/28/2009
THIS CAR IS STILL ALIVE, I AM STILL ALIVE! Yes one of the few people with the Dual Mags. Lets see what has happened lately, new HID fog lamps with HID headlight kit, Magnaflow Catalytic Converter, a massive interior light kit, and new Borla Headers. I think this will be the last four cylinder I will ever own, I am going back to my big sixes after this. Check out page two for the latest pictures, I will take more over the weekend of the new converter.
