Aloha's!
This is DjTy here, I've never been much into cars until november 2005 when I bought this beauty as my second ride in addition to my ol' daily driver.

CaribMonza's 1976 Chevrolet Monza

It's a genuine 30year old Monza from the production line in Quebec, Canada and then The Netherlands before coming to Curacao a few years back. The wet weather have taken their toll on the body and some rust spots have developed but I'm taking that on as my next project.

The current project is in it's final stages. We swapped the old stock and tired 262ci for a slightly used 350 which was rebuilt 355ci with some new parts.

It has a 670cfm Holley Street Avenger, shiny Edelbrock Performer EPS, MSD Street fire ignition distributor coil, Federal mogul flat top pistons .030 over, Corvette High flow aluminum pump, holley fuelpump, Hughes 2000stall, a Speed pro 3000 Cam and other regular new stuff.

This all took a full month to swap and get it driving again which it does now albeit with a few headaches and I'm not getting it from the awesome sound.

See the next page for my story on all that.

Props to V8monza.com, hotrodders.com and H-body.org for helping me out in many aspects.

I admire your dedication to modifying one of these cars outside of North America.

WOW it's cool to see that a Monza made it down to the S.American Carribean! Lucky! I'll keep an eye on your progress. See you on the Hbody Forum.

Cool man! Glad to see you're on here! Looks like you got more done than I have! But glad to know you're getting it done. The key is patience. If anyone knows, I guess I would!
