I am undecided on the style of wheels I want to go with on this truck. Having the heavy-duty 3/4 ton frame with an 8-lug bolt pattern limits my choices severely. I'm left with pretty much stock Chevrolet/GMC and Dodge offerings to match the 8x165mm bolt pattern. Some have told me 8x170mm wheels from Fords will also fit. Then you have the bling-bling wheels, 20"-22"-24"-26" and I'm not going there. A few companies do make 8-lug wheels that aren't completely ghetto. American Racing, Cragar, and Eagle are a few. But below are two pictures of stock Chevy/GMC wheels I wouldn't mind having. Actually I don't like the one on the right, but it's one of the few choices I have.

Dodge wheels are an option but I'd have to get creative with center caps since I don't want rams all over my Chevy. The picture on the left is of a common 16" Dodge chrome 8-lug wheel, found on 2500 and 3500 Ram pickups and vans in the late 90s and early 00s. The picture on the right shows the lineup of wheels available on 2002-up Dodges. A, B, C, D, and E are all for single wheel models.

Ford wheels are also an option, but here we are again with the center cap problem. The picture below shows all the current model Super Duty wheels, all but the last two are for single rear wheel trucks. The other more serious problem with late model Ford wheels is the offset is wrong for use with my big ass drum brakes in back. Maybe a larger 17-18" wheel will solve that problem, but I won't know without measuring everything.

If I can't find, or can't afford, any of these, I'm sure I can find a set of the silver painted Chevy/GMC HD wheels available in the 17" size. Picture shown below. There has to be a stockpile of these around the corner at Regency Conversions, or any of the other truck conversion factorys near me in Fort Worth.

This truck was sold in April 2007 to finance the purchase of the blue jellybean for my wife. I miss this truck dearly and am looking to purchase another. The one I'm looking at is a 1/2 ton 2WD GMC version in blue and silver and is 12 miles away from me. The hook, it's only $400. The catch, it has been a farm truck and hasn't been inspected since 1999, so I doubt it will pass easily.
