I originally bought this car as a daily driver Muscle Car. I like the style and you dont see many of these on the Road. My first drag racing experience at the track was a bit humbling ,The 351 Cleavland Powered the car to a traction limited 16.8@ 81 mph. I tried to tune the motor for more power but it was tired. I grenaded the motor with a WOT shift to neutral racing my buddy's 1970 Nova. The choice I had was to build another Cleavland at about $1800 or install a used 460 from a 71 Lincoln at $400. I chose the latter. The First 460 totally changed the personality of my car. The 16 second behemoth changed into a legitimate 14 second car. A freshened up motor With that humble beginning What we have here is the a latest me in the 13s and dialed in ran a best of 12.9 @105 . This motor is another step up in my quest to have one of the fastest 72 Torinos around. This is Not a high dollar checkbook motor . All of the parts were off the shelf or used equipment ,The most exotic thing here is the Crower 1.8 Rocker Arms .
