11/17- For my birthday, my dad took some pictures of the motor and truck today. Notice how the engine is now in the truck! Motor is in, but no word on when it will actually fire up. The truck will be done by Christmas day though, so thats the date I'm shoot for! I'll Keep the pics coming! If you guys and girls look down the page a little, you can see what the firewall and frame looked like before the respray. HUGE difference!
11/10- Hey everyone, just got another update on Nasty. The motor mounts, tranny mount and oil pan are all installed and the motor is ready to drop in! the truck is back at the shop for a little work on the inside of the engine bay. The firewall is getting cleaned up, and both fender wells are being cleaned up and painted as well. Once the work is done, pictures will be sent and of course posted.
10/27- Alright, after a long awaited update, i finally got one. The motor mounts came in friday, and the oil pan came in today. The firewall is getting cleaned up this week so it can be sprayed satin black. The inner fenderwells had a little rust in them, so that is getting fixed and then they will be repainted. The pinstriping will also be under the hood on the fenderwells to match the outside. I am still waiting on our engine guy to give me the go-ahead on ordering the fuel rail covers. I will be going with the classic black ones with "corvette" in red letters. The wiring harness came in last week, so the truck starting to come together. The goal is for the truck to be done by the time I come home for Christmas. There is still a MASSIVE amount of work to do, so we will see how well it actually turns out. I will keep updating the site as i get the updates as well. No pictures this time because nothing on the truck has changed. It is still sitting without a motor just like the pictures i posted in August.
9/23- Well my dad went down to Pigeon Forge, TN for the fall Grand Run last weekend, and picked up a couple new parts for the truck. The gastank with in tank pump, wiring harness ordered from Street and Performance, and a new cowl induction hood. after the engine is wired up and good to go, the truck is getting redone body work wise. The logo on the door will be changed to Ron and Josh's Hot Rod Shop with our phone number on it, the Sir Micheal's tailgate skin will be added, and all the dents and rust will be fixed. The paintjob will be the same, flat black with red pinstriped flames, but the truck will be in a much better condition. As those of you that check on Nasty, pictures will come as soon as i get them.

The 327 is out and the LS1 chained up ready to drop in.

Got the pictures of how Nasty looked when she went to get the transplant

Here is all the pictures with the 327 still installed. Dad just removed the doghouse and loaded it on the trailer to take to our engine guy.
9/11- Well I finally got a couple pictures of the engine in the crate. The motor is still out of the truck, we ended up having to notch the frame, and the motor mounts, headers, and new wiring harness are all ordered, just waiting on arrival before putting the motor back in. I will send some pictures of the truck as soon as I receive them.

8/24- I talked to my pops yesterday and got an update on Nasty. The dog house is off and she is headed to our engine guy. We are going with a quad 2" sport truck exhaust with 3" tips and SLP Loudmouth mufflers. Manifold wise, we are looking at going with block hugger headers. "Supposedly" he tooks some pictures and is going to email them to me, but he tends to forget a lot, so we will see. I will post some pictures as soon as I get them!

Here is the rough draft of the exhaust setup.
8/13- So I seen "Green Machine" and was like, oh most definitely the "GREENEST" truck in the world :P
8/10/09- The Streetrod Nationals were this weekend in Louisville, so dad went up there and talk to the Painless guys. He ordered their harness, and we found the motor mounts online. The doghouse is coming off this week, then off to the shop where the motor will be put in. I am trying to get them to take plenty of pictures since i wont be in town, but i cannot guarentee anything. i will do my best!
Update 8/5/09- Well, I am still in San Diego finishing college, but dad is still working on Nasty a little wile i am gone. The LS1 I bought almost 2 years ago is FINALLY going in. Wile the truck is getting a new powerplant, the body is getting an update. All the marker lights are being shaved and the bed stake holes are being filled in. The inner fenderwells and firewall will be shaved and smoothed out, and the engine bay as a whole will be totally redone. When I get back home for Christmas, I am putting in the power windows and locks.
Here is my 1968 C10 truck that i bought as a project for my dad and me wile I was in Iraq in 2006. I dont remember how she got her name, but it fits the bill. Right now, the outside is painted with a base coat black and no clear, and then the pinstriping is done in red. The door was painted with my dad's body shop's name on the side for that "old school" look. It has a '69 doghouse on it, but we put a '72 all chrome billet grille on it. The wheels are staggered camaro rallyes (15x10's in the rear, 15x8's in the front) that have been painted red, added a beauty ring and a chrome center cap to them. My pops also put a brand new suspension from Southern KY Classics under it including a disc brake conversion, new shocks, springs, and drop spindles. When i bought the truck, it was sitting on the bumpstops because the springs were cut down too far. The trucks has been lowered 5" all around. It was the lowest we could go without having to notch the frame. Truck handles excellent. I recomend the Belltech shocks and Eibach springs to anyone wanting to lower they C10 without air. Nasty can keep up pretty well with sports cars in the twisties. When i bought it, i was told the truck has a SB 350 with 327 heads. After running the numbers on the block, i found out it has the factory 327 in it. The motor is worn out, the carb is junk, it leaks like an SOB, and has the power of Chevy Metro. I had always dreamed of having a Corvette powered truck, so i bought an LS1 out if an 01 SS Camaro. It has everything from the A/C to the ECU. I bought the Sir Micheal's roll pan and tailgate skin for it, and we have yet to replace the tailgate, but the pan is on after the bumper fell off three times and i got tired of dad tack welding it into place. I just ground off the welds, and placed the rollpan on, and wired up the liscenceplate lights. This truck means the world to me, and I dont think there is an amount out there i would sell it for. The trcuk was bought on Ebay from Iraq on my first deployment with the USMC. Not many people get that chance, and with the fact of how much the truck has brought my dad and me together, it will be a part of me forever.

I took some pictures of the 327, after i cleaned for almost 12 hours on it, repainting, and scrubbing everything and tracing the flames in the air cleaner and valve covers. She cleans up pretty well, pool thing just runs horrible. It has a bug cam in it, and some longtube headers that seal REALLY well, along with a Holley high rise intake, Rochester carb, and MSD Distributor. The valve covers and aircleaner are from Mr. Gasket, and have flames milled into the surfaces.

I am pretty sure this is the only picture i have of Nast and The Juice sitting at a carshow together. We take both trucks to as moany shows as we can together, showing both sides of the art in hot rodding. You have the street rodded, fully modified 72 C10 and then my totally hot rod classic style right next to it. Both trucks have about the same amount of work, just totally different outlooks.

I took Nasty down to the Governor's Mansion and Capital back in March, but you can see the little add ons i have been doing over the years. The vinyl bed cover, and the rollpan molded in really clean up the rear of the truck. Once the tailgate skin is added, the rear will be pretty much finished. You can really see the rake the truck sits at with the different tire size and the drop.
