jaimesix's 1974 Datsun 710 I just purchased a new member of the "Jaimesix" garage. A Datsun 710 ( Dec 23 2006 ). Picture to the right is one after a clean up and tune up.The rest of this page has pre ride, as bought pictures.

The Datsun 710 is a powerfull vehicle. Originally brought up by Datsun as a companion in the performance team created by Datsun Racing Division. The Datsun 610 together with the Datsun 710 were breaking records around the world in Rallye off road competition and road racing.
Bob Sharp and Dave Davenport were demolishing the competition in Datsuns B210 , 710 , 610 , 200SX S10 and 260 Z. The competition was tough, Datsun ought to remain at the top.

jaimesix's 1974 Datsun 710 I just got some pictures of the car. I am changing all the fuel lines and doing the mandatory tune up which includes, spark plugs , spark cables , valve cover gasket , points / condenser , oil and filter change , gas filter change , air filter change as well as a brand new battery. The carburetor is a rebuilt unit. I am also installing a new muffler. This is the preliminary tune up , the car sounds sweet.
I will flush the radiator/ engine water passages and later on if needed after the flushing I will take the radiator off the car for a profesional pressurized radiator clean up. I will change the cooling system hoses after the flushing , so that any new hoses wont get impregnated with bad pervasive stuff.
jaimesix's 1974 Datsun 710I got to give it a complete clean up , engine bay and body as a whole. First plan is to install decent suspension. New shocks struts is in order. Decambering the rear springs and getting shorter front ones will help keep the ride ready for cornering. Sway bars will follow.
jaimesix's 1974 Datsun 710 The interior looks pretty decent , and the ceiling is in great shape. The rear seats need work. The front seats are upholstered and in good shape, but far away from what is desired. Current seats are doing their job, and will do untill replacement.
jaimesix's 1974 Datsun 710 The dash board is nice. It came with a factory clock. Also the car has the factory 8 track still working. That is a trip .There is a couple of tracks in the car.( Cool and the Gang! LOL )

both KPH and MPH at the same time. Very nice , I like the way both nomenclatures fill up the dial. Check out this Datsun 160JSSS ( a non US version IRS suspension twin carbureted + the cool gauge cluster Datsun 710 )...dash with factory tachometer!!! Got to get one of those. I do not have the tach...but I have the cool clock!!

The paint in my red Datsun 710 is in fair shape , and some polishing / waxing will keep it in good condition. The Car has all its lenses in place , and its logos.jaimesix's 1974 Datsun 710 . It is a Datsun 710. I know this Datsun will eventually become a great road car. This is just the begining. This are pictures before I ever drove it.
jaimesix's 1974 Datsun 710 The more unusual the better, and this model 710 type 2 door is seldom seen around. I like it .

Hi Jaimes Thanks , yeah I am looking for parts too. Seems like most stuff has to come from Australia. The things I need are a new front windsheild with lower chrome trim , RX3 badges , and a new ignition set w keys. Everything else is there , I even have the stock chrome wheel trim put away. Phil's Rotories and Fast Fours seem to have alot of stuff, and I can find stuff on EBay as well. I have found aftermarket wheel flare kits . Check out Diamond Racing Wheels , they will make you custom wheels for around $650.00 for a set of 4 . My friend has them on his drift Miata w 50 series Toyo R888's , man they lok sweet. TTYL Joey

My car is not for sale John. I tried to look at your link, but it does not work. Perhaps someone was selling a Datsun 710, and used my photos because he had no photos of the car for sale, I guess.
