This is the Short Story of the restoration of my 1991 SSP Mustang 5.0.

When I bought the car this is what I started with. So I Acquired some fenders, and a bumper, and sent the car off to be painted. And this is what the Engine looked Like after I put the Cobra Maifold on and the BBK Intake.

This is what the car looked like after is came back from the paint shop. I was repainted using the same color, and I had the antennas shaved.

The Next issue to address was the Blue interior.

I got power seats from a 96 GT and had them redone in black vinyl with grey leather inserts. I put new carpet in and vinyl dyed the other plastic interior pieces. I also recovered the headliner with black vinyl and put the police ticket light back in.

Next I completely rebuilt the engine and replaced it with all stock parts. I put in a 3 core radiator, and a taurus electric fan. I was having warm starting issues so I put the battery back up front (When I bought the car, someone had relocated it to the back). I didn't think to take pictures of the engine rebuild process at this time.

I rebuilt the Trac-Loc rear differential and put in 3.73:1 gears, I also put in Blue oval Industries Fully Boxed upper and lower control arms. (Its kinda dirty on the picture, pollen and road grime)

I quickly became bored with the engine so I decided to add a few things to it, I put gt-40 heads on from a 93 cobra, along with a comp cams 35-302-8 cam and all new roller lifters with hardend pushrods and Pro-Form Roller Rockers (1.6 ratio). On the head you can see where the machine shop matched the spring rates on all the springs to the cam profile. I will post more pics of the engine build asap.
While Reinstalling the engine, I broke the heater core. I have replaced the heater core in the past on previous mustangs and I remember how much of a PITA it was, but it had to get done. I began doing research on this and discovered that there is an electrostatic charge that builds up in the coolant and causes issues with these cars, so I took preventative measures and soldered a wire to the heater core and then grounded it to the body of the vehicle. This is what it should look like.
