1973 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28

My Z has received an LS1 transplan from a 98 Z/28 complete with 4L60E. The motor is stock except for the Comp Cams camshaft. The tranny has been rebuilt with heavy duty clutches and Trans-Go shift kit and it uses a Vigilante torque converter.
The car was weighed after the LS1 transplant and weighed in at 3400 lbs (w/full tank of gas and no driver). With the LS1 swap the car has gone a best of 12.2 @ 110 mph

A little history of how this all came about.....

I purchased the car about a year ago and I'm glad I could look past the previous owners infatuation with stickers and other redneck items. The car received "De-redeckification" as soon as I got it. The above picture is the "after" picture, next up is the "before" picture of the body, after that are before and after pics of the engine bay and interior. As you can see the stance of the car was much improved with new Hotchkis front and rear springs and the handling of the car was improved with KYB shocks and a new front end rebuild kit from PST. Wheels are 16 x 8 Torque Thrust D's

This is the original numbers matching block and I've saved the motor and Turbo 400 in my garage in case they are ever needed again. I dyno'd it at Maximum Performance and it made 217 RWHP on a Mustang dyno and 283 RHWP with a 100 shot of spray (the NX kit was sold and will not be used on the LS1). The motor was bored 30 over and had some flat top pistons along with a mystery camshaft. We were able to do some simulated 1/4 mile testing on the dyno and it showed the car should run a 13.6 @ 99 and I ran it a few times and manged a best of 13.7 @ 98 (both times are motor only)
