This is my 1977 Mazda 818 coupe. Bought it 3 years ago from the first owner, a very old man, who was to affraid to drive it any longer. The last 5 year's in his possesion, it only drove 25km's a year. To the garage for a check up and back. It runs the original stock 1300cc ohc engine. Current milage: 62.000km.

Although i want to keep the car stock, i did make some changes.
My first mod. RX-3 taillights. They give a more sporty look than the original 808 taillights. Next benefit i can keep the original lights for spare :0).
Because the rx-3 lights were in bad shape, i had to repaint them. Because re-chroming was no option, i painted the chrome parts brite white. The rest is painted silkgloss black.
Because the original steel wheels leaves huge spaces in the rear wheel cupboards, i want to fill them up with rx-7 1-st gen. rims . Also repainted in brite white.
On the moment i'm busy cleaning up the engine bay. The previous owner used lots of tektyl to preserve the car.
After cleaning the enginebay it will be repainted.
While cleaning, i found 2 nasty rustspots on the a-pilar.
Now i'am finally finished cleaning, it was time to fix those nasty spots.
After some welding and grinding it looks much better i think.

Today i finally could make a start with rebuilding the enginebay.
