My 1992 Mini Cooper 1275 with Sports Carb

This is or should say 'was' my cherised Mini. It was fully loaded with 4-point harnesses, colour coded stitched full leather bucket seats, leather rear seats and bench with same colour coded piping.

As I said it had a Mini Cooper Sport Carb and went like stink!

Unfortunately after moving house and after having to park it on the road, 3 days after moving in, some lads decided to steal it 5am after roping up the front door to my house so i couldnt get out. The only part of the car that wasn't alarmed was the boot lid which i was going to get round to do.

They broke in through the boot, disconnected the alarm from the battery, snapped the steering lock and pushed it down the road. Police told me to wait for it to be recovered so you can guess what i said to that!....

Drove round for 2 hours and then finally found it. It drove about 20 metres onto this estate and then belted it down the road. Then I lost it as i was trying to follow in my Peugeot 206. Finally found where it was but then the lads started chucking bricks at my Peugeot so had to get out the way. By the time the police got there (2 min walk from where the mini was), they had taken it to the next town and set it alight.

They arrested 3 guys running away from the car with petrol rags in their pockets but they couldnt get done for it cos 2 weeks after being repremanded for torching the mini, they did an armed robbery on the local post office and got a stretch of 10 years each.

Its just gutting how after so much work someone can just go and take it all away. The Cooper had Superlite alloys that were powdercoated black, black bonnet stripes, black roof, aluminium sump guard, chrome interior kit, show cage and clear backlights.

All i have left is photocopies of the V5 and the work taken out on the 1992 Cooper and these 2 pictures. Gutted.

Cant afford to get another Mini until i get to afford a house with a garage! To all of you with Mini's. DONT LET THE JELEOUS IDIOTS STEAL YOUR PRIDE AND JOY
