I got this car in trade for a drag car that I no longer ran. It was a 69 Nova SS. The Nova eventually ran 11.00 n/a in the 1/4 mile & 10.30s with a 150hp shot of nos.
it was powered by a 406 small block Chevy out of my moms old Chevy Caprice.

The Chevelle is a numbers matching true 72 SS 454 with an M22 "rockcrusher" 4 speed & 3.31 posi rear. The car also has another rare in 72 option, the ZL2 cowl induction hood. This hood was only availible on big block cars from '70-'72.
Total production for a 72 SS 454 Chevelle with an M22 & C/I hood is 624,so for that reason I have not restored it yet since it is all original & they are only original once.
Mileage is undocumented & reads just over 19,000 miles.....I can;t say this car only has 19,000 but I know by the condition of some of the drivetrain that it doesn't have 119,000.
The only mods that I have done are: a Holley 800 DP carb & Weiand Stealth dual plane intake, A Lunati 'voodoo' 268 cam & lifter kit with matching valvesprings, Flowmaster exhaust kit, BFG TA radial tires & synthetic oil in the trans & rear.
Updates in 2008 were:
Aluminum radiator
Aluminum water pump
deep groove v-belt pullies
new harmonic balancer since original was dry rotted
Upgrades for spring 2009 are:
Hedman Elite longtube headers
Centerforce dual friction clutch
A 3.73 ratio rear gear set.
MSD streetfire distributer
Energy suspension motor mounts & suspension bushings.
I have all the parts and am just waiting for warmer weather to start working.
I will post updated pictures soon since these are from 2004 & I've done alot of cleanup & new trim.
