Hello this is my daily driver baja bug that I bought over the summer. Unfortunately the motor and transmission were bad and I am almost finished getting it back together. These pictures are from when I first got the car. When I get it running again I will upload more current pictures. Please sign my guestbook.

The Color is Metallic Burgundy. It looks really good on the car, I am just a little worried about color matching because there are a few areas which may need to be touched up in the future.

It is very straight, It has one-piece windows, which I don't really like(I like wing windows.) All of the fiberglass is nice and strong. It was a very nice kit.

I want to lift the rear end more so the car would be more even and have more ground clearance. The Centerline wheels look really nice on it. The back tires are 30 inches by 9.5 inches.

It has a bus 3 rib transaxle, which I just had rebuilt. I had a new ring and pinion put into it so that it would be geared similar to how a stock bug with stock sized tires would be geared, except that I have 30's and a stronger transaxle. If anybody is looking for a good priced and very knowledgeable person to fix their VW, or Porsche standard shift transaxle, just ask and I will give you his info.

My old engine was a 1835 which was a lot of fun to drive, and it was really fast. Unfortunately the block was warped.

This is how the interior was when I first got the car. Now I have put a dash overlay on it, which I wouldn't recommend to anybody. It didn't fit right, and doesn't have the same curves in the same places. It took a lot of work but I was able to get it to look good. I want to get some supportive seats, that recline, and look good.

Please sign my Guest book, and tell me what you think of my baja bug.

I bought a red '70 Baja last week. It is very similar to yours with a 1600dp. I'll be following your work for inspiration. Very nice baja as it is.
