It was bound to happen, I traded in the Camaro may 26th and bought a Cobalt, check out page 7. It was a great car and alot of fun but I needed something more practical for daily use.

Friday March 9th my Camaro got broken into while infront of my house, I was just leaving when I see two darker skined (Hispanic, Arab, Indian ect) individuals standing next to my car with the passanger window broken, I chased after them on foot but they had about a 50ft head start. I was at their bumber when they took off in a White Mitsubishi Eclipse, It had the GSX spoiler but I think it was a GS-T. The plate is 319 ZEJ if you know something please let me know, they arent from illinois and local PD can't track them.

Heres my Daily Driver/ First real car, a 1991 Chevy Camaro RS, It's a 5spd and has the 5L V8. I bought the car back in Feb 04. with 136,149 miles.

Nothing drastic has gone wrong which has been a surprise especially with mileage and the way I drive it. Now it hasn't been problem free, I've had to repair/ replace many parts which simply met their time including but not limited to:

-Springs
-Radiator
-Alternator
-Brake Lines
-Hood Struts
-Starter
-Recoverd the dash
-Filled in cracks in the Rear Glass Grids for the Defogger
-Tune up (not a repair but still was needed)
-Attempted to fabricate a bracket for the E-brake (GM bless their hearts stopped making the part I need)
-The car got hit while I was at work, so after getting the run around from the driver at fault I took their money and did the work myself.

Not bad considering I did this in my garage with spraypaint, The other driver's front licence plate scraped up my front bumper and gouged the drivers side pretty badly.

This Winter/ Spring I will be replacing the Fuel Filter, give another shot at the E-brake and replace the origional clutch. with the possibility of an LSD going in to aid snow traction, yes I drive her in the snow.

For fun:
-Repainted the Interior Gloss Black
-Recolored the Gauges
-Installed a CD/AM/FM Radio with an Aux input to which I hook up my Ipod.
-Made a true dual exhaust consisting of just side exiting straight pipes, yes its loud.
-Took out the back portion of the rear seat, as well as the safety belts to discourage ride bumming friends

My car has been venting exhaust gas through the vents so i found the cause to be a leak under hood somewhere on the passanger side, I also did not have a seal on the hood, thus allowing gas to get sucked into the vent inlets, so I zip-tied a peice of pipe insulation to my firewall and voila instant seal for under 7 bux, also my thermostat got stuck open so i swapped with another in under 10 minutes - getting good at this. ill post pics tomarrow

-For the winter I secured 2 60lb bags of concrete in the hatch area, I call this "traction Control"

1/28/07 - Drove about 20 miles out to shaumberg to meet the guys of Shocker Racing for some lunch at Hooters then to go down to the World of Wheels at McCormick place. On the trip to McCormick I notice that my volt meter is reading a lil low, like only 9V, but hey old car, old guages so its prolly off. Getting into the garage I notice my lights are dim "uh oh" I think to my self its the alternator and that the car is loosing power. Well I park and have a good time. Leaving, the beast fires up so I think nothing of the dimmer lights - again theyre old. Cruising down lake shore drive my radio is getting softer and my blower for the air just dosent have the same kick, volt guage is pegged at 8 and in the red - damnit! well for the next 10 miles things just start shutting down, I ened up turning off everything just to keep power for the ignition as I am now totaly on battery, the car is hesitating, the tach is lazy and the car wants to die. just 2 block from my house she gives up. I push her home, damn thing was heavy. the next day swapped my alternator in about 1 hour. The gauge now reads 15V! My lights are way brighter that ever before and I had to dim my gauges because they were a bit distracting. Alternator -problem solved.

Over spring break I changed the clutch, re plumbed the fuel lines and got a new filter on, swapped my starters and flywheel, made a new horn switch on the steering wheel, fixed the defroster, made replacement backout planels for the front side part of the side skirts where is use to say "RS" Made a new interior panel.

First off, your C6 looks awesome. The work you've done has paid off. I just got a black C6 a couple months. Quick question-- Did yours come stock with the Competition Gray wheels? Or did you have them power coated?
