Well after spending a TON on shipping charges to get this car to me from Florida I now come to realize buying a car unseen in person on ebay is not a good idea. The car was claimed to be rust free from the way he decribed it but it wasn't so. I now have a more difficult chore ahead of me and if I can't do it myself body work charges and new quarters could cost a fortune.? Holes found along the drip line on both sides concern me the most though!

My main focus is to get the body work done (most likely painted also) and then work on getting the interior done. The car does run with it's original 67,000 mile 289-2v but the points are bad and need to be changed so it misses some. I am at some point going to be changing the motor to something with more cubic inches but at this time I have no idea which motor I will go with. It might be a 351CJ, 390, 428 or a stroked small block windsor.

I'll update some more as I go but it is now winter here and the wife's van takes most of the garage so I don't have much room to work on it plus it is a little cold in the garage..lol, When spring time comes the garage is all mine though. :p

The person who sprayed primer on the car got it ALL OVER the place and getting this primer off the windows and chrome trim could be a chore.

These small rust holes under the drip line ON BOTH SIDES concern me, I hope it doesn't cost to much to fix this and I hope it can be done without to much work.

I think your vision for this car is awesome. I used photoshop to plan my project throughout resto and customizimizing my '65. Now its almost complete. I really appreciate that two tone paint idea you have for your Fairlane. I'm getting paint right now.

Congrats on your car! Sorry to hear about the issues with it though. Stick with it, it'll be worth it! Fairlanes are awesome. I hear 'ya about working on it during the winter. My wife's minivan takes up half of my workspace too. Good luck with it, and keep your site updated. Later.

Sorry about your e-bay debockal. I too bought my car "site unseen" and had it shipped cross-country from Washington State to New Jersey. Though mine wasn't nearly as bad as yours. I will never buy a car I can't check over in person. Well much success in your reto! Stop by and look at my '72 Cougar XR7 when ya get the time.....Thanks
