FOR SALE- $10,900 OBOHello and welcome to my 1974 Super Beetle restoration project. It's finally complete (more or less- 05/09) and I've added a few custom touches to make it mine. The wheels are Empi 8's and I've tinted the windows, added flush mount taillights, clear front signals, and painted the headlight rings to match the car. I lowered it about 2 inches in the front and added a heavy duty front sway bar. The rear has sagged about an inch so the stance is pretty much right. I'm pretty happy with the results of all the work this took. I couldn't imagine an easier and less expensive restoration than an old Beetle. Almost everything (except the specifically Super Beetle stuff) is readily available from Mexican or Brazilian sources and CHEAP!Latest updated mods as of 07-04-10 front lowered 2 inches and 145SR-15 pizza cutter tires, rear sway bar (huge handling improvement), and all trim painted to match car. New billet aluminum running boards are black powder coated with polished ribs. I painted the outer part blue to match.Engine dressed up with Scat flywheel pulley, billet alternator pulley, and chrome dipstick 10-11. Bugpack header and quiet exhaust (all ceramic coated of course) added a noticeable increase in power and made it quieter as an added bonus.
