Dave’s Pontiac Firebird

JVC CD Player, 500 Watt AMP, two 200 Watt 10" Subwoofers, two 6"x9" speakers, and two front speakers are what makes this car sound so good. Below is pictures and steps that I took when installing all of this cool stuff into my 1990 Pontiac Firebird. Please rate my intall, and then visit my website www.webpagewizard.net.

A near perfect paint job, brand new tires, V6 Turbo Fuel Injected engine, and a disco ball hanging from the mirror. It just wasn't enough. I needed a GOOD sound system, and thats what I got. I will now take you through the construction and installation of my awesome system.
One night, I was cruising the auctions at uBid.com and found a pair of brand new subwoofers. For only $30 a piece, I thought I'd whip out the credit card. Minutes later, I found a 500 Watt Amp for $60! Charged that too. I immediately got started on my design. I opened up Studio 3D MAX, and drew what you see here.
Using MDF board, I constructed a box 41" long, 12" high, and 15" back. I then tried to fit this into the back of my Firebird. As you can see, I had to sand down the corners to make it fit. I didn't forget to take into account that the window is curved, but I took measurements right up to the glass, and I guess I didn't cut it exactly.
Here is the box tilted upward so you can see the depth of it. I took this and the picture before it with my webcam. All the other pictures were scanned in.
Here is a picture of the subs that I got. I then carpeted the box, and through these puppies in there. They are BOSS 200 watt subs. They sound great.
I then attached the AMP between the subs and through the box in the back of my car. I rode around for a week showing off my new system, without being able to play it. I ordered my CD Player from SoundDomain.com the day after I got the box in. And a week later, my CD Player arrived.
Here is a close up of the AMPLIFIER.
Here is a better picture of the AMP. It is also a BOSS 500 2 channer amplifier.
Here is a close up of the right subwoofer.
This is a better picture of my CD Player, but I also included a picture taken from inside my car, below.
