man you dont have to take apart anything to get the pulgs out. Its so easy it shows you in the owners manual. But make sure to blow the plug holes out first with compressed air before you take them out or stiff will fall in the motor and thats not good. Their advanced but not hard to work on. Hard to work on is the 1990 and up 300zx where you cant stick your hand between the motor and firewalls.

Anyway are you swapping a turbo into your non-turbo? Its easy just time consuming, a lot of steps. First off the non-turbo transmission bolts right up to the turbo motor. the only thing that you need is the:
1)turbo motor
2)alternator harness (you have to extend the one in your Z. Going to a nissan dealer you can get the alternator sub harness and splice in into yours)
3)Cross member off a turbo Z. Or you can weld the mount over. I reccamend getting the crossmember. (the metal beam the motor mounts to)
4)turbo computer.

I am in the middle of the process right now. Im currently building up the motor so i got everything thrown around. But your better off going to a junk yard and finding a donor car or looking on z31.com under classifides for parts.

good luck

nice looking 300ZX man. i have one just like it went true 3 motor and 2 tranys too lol. only thing i can tell you is hope and praynuthing goes out on it because its so much of a pain to work on. just to get to the plugs on mine you have to take almost everything in the off just to get to them. the only thing i can say is go to this site www.z31.com thats the most helpfull site i have for the 300zx and all i have to say is good luck because they are a pain to work on. if you need anymore sites i have a few more but thats the best one good luck man peace out bro.
