This first picture was taken while waiting in tech at an MCA Grand National Show in Agusta Ga. We came home with a second place award in the modified, driven class (the car was driven almost 800 miles the day before, 4 hours of which were in the rain.) The car had been painted 16 days when this was taken. The Mustang has a 351 windsor engine with a weiand stealth intake, 600 cfm holley carburator, comp cams valve train, and milodon oiling system. The transmission is a modified AOD, with a mechanical diode, added frictions, and a baumann modified valve body. The rear end is a 1959 vintage 9" with a 3.50:1 traction lock differential. Shelby suspension modifications were done with lowered control arms, heavy duty springs front and rear, competition engineering subframe connectors, energy suspension bushings, and oversized sway bar to keep the body level during cornering. wheels and tires are American Racing Torq-Thrust II shod with Sumitomo HTRZII tires, 225 45 17 inch. The interior was totally refurbished, with white faced gauges from a 66 mustang, along with matching tachometer and transmission temp mounted in a 65 Shelby gauge pod.The exhaust is a set of Hedman Elite headers that are ceramic coated running through an x pipe, and a set of 2 1/2" Magnaflow mufflers, and finally exiting the rear valance. It also has an old school JVC Digifine tuner pushing 2 jbl amps, with 6" jbl's in the kick panels, a set of jbl 6x9's in the package tray, and a pair of jbl 10" subs in an enclosure behind the back seat. Latest upgrades include gps navigation system, back up cam, and blue led lighting in the fenderwells that shine through the rims.
