This was my first car. It is a 1977 Chevy El Camino. I grew up with this car. My father bought this car when it was about 6 months old, I was 4. It was originally owned by the daughter of the local Buick-Cadillac dealer. It only had 4000 miles on it. My father traded a Volkswagon stationwagon in on it! He dubbed it the "El Bino". I "inherited" it when I turned eighteen. It had been sitting in a neighbors garage for the previous 4 years. I had to spend about 700 bucks to get it on the road and another 800 on insurance for the year! I had it until 1998 when the transmission lost all forward gears. I ended up selling it for 400 dollars to somebody who restores El Camino's. I do miss that car! This is also the only picture I have of this car. It was taken outside my barracks at the Air Force base I was stationed at then.
