I am the second owner of this 1973 Coronet Custom 4-door sedan. Purchased originally at a dealership in Batavia, Ohio in the last few months of the dealerships existance. It greatly resembles the model on the 73 Coronet dealer literature.
.
I have original paperwork and parts for "Roscoe". Named after Roscoe P. Coletrain (sp?)and the car's resemblance to a police car. I have added wide slotted Police wheels
and lowered it a couple inches. Handling was
dramatically increased by adding sway bars, front & rear.
The Yokohoma 255/60/15 tires stick like glue when pushed into tight curves at high speeds.

Dual exhausts unleash hidden power, along with some subtle engine modifications.
. This 318 thinks it's a
340 & sounds the part too. Very surprising performance on the road considering the economy gearing.
The body is in excellent shape although the car has 128,000 miles. The original AM/FM radio with rear speaker works great. The vinyl seats (with bucket backs & fold down center) look like new. "Roscoe" is quite the cruiser, comfortable, especially in the summer with the original AC pumping. Have to have AC in a black car with black vinyl top & black vinyl interior!

I never thought I would be this proud of a 4-door car, but it does bring a smile to my face every time I get behind the wheel. I'm also amazed at the looks and comments I get on a simple 4-door Coronet???

In 2007-8 the engine room was re-done & cleaned up. Added Edelbrock chrome valve covers, Edelbrock Performer intake, and an Edelbrock 1406 performer carb with (you guessed it) an Edelbrock air filter.
Although this vehicle is a delight to drive, car is now for sale but with "Centerline" wheels with narrower tires instead of the "Police" wheels & wider tires.

Here is "Roscoe" ready for sale.....$6,895.00
