Wow, that moves!

Lets first start with some pictures of the Angel:
Here is my EP91 4E-FTE engine:
You can see the SPS decat downpipe:
Torque / Hp curves!:
Mesured by my Innovate Motorsports DL-32 module on the 9th of August 2008
This is four runs that I put together using Excel.
Torque (blue) is in foot-pounds and Power (purple) is in Horsepower
Horsepower: 179 hp @ 5400
Torque: 194 lb-ft @ 2900-4500 rpm
I run 12 psi of boost but the boost is dropping to 10 psi as the engine revs. I love the torque it has in the low-end. Maybe I'll get my exhaust bigger and gain in the high-end soon...
Here is a comparison of the Hi and Lo boost settings: I just have made this road test on the 11th of august 2008!
Low boost = 5 psi
High boost = 12 psi
The light colors is the lo setting
Modifications:
Here is what I have done on this little toy, in the past 4 years that I own this car:
Esthetics:
- Wings West M-Type polyurethane body kit (BMW M3 style) Fits good!
- Painted the bumpers, body kit, door handles and mirrors (originally black, unpainted)
- Had windows tinted by a professional (cuts 60% of the light)
- I modified the front grill: removed the Toyota sign in the front and put a TRD emblem on the left side
Lighting:
- 1999 spec Oem Taillamps (I tinted the corner amber, usually transparent)
- 1999 spec Oem Headlamps (Crystal Clear)
- Another set of headlamps in the front bumper (Hella 55W) Makes a hell of a difference. If I am on the Hi beams, they come on and the car coming towards me absolutly will flash me the lights, if they are on!
Engine Performance:
- I installed a complete JDM swap from a Glanza V, so the 4E, and the C56 gearbox. My swap came with the complete wiring harness, so it made my wiring quite easy, even if I only had only a wiring diagram half in japanese... Everything looked brand new: No cracks at all in the exhaust manifold or the wastegate, under the valve cover, I would have eaten!
I installed it right away with a front mount intercooler.
I just installed a SPS downpipe on it. And the Air filter is relacated in the front bumper. You hear the turbo more than the engine, which I appreciate very much!
Suspension:
- K-Sport coilovers (Control Pro)
- Front sway bar from a Toyota Paseo
Wheels and brakes:
- 14" Mags from a 1992 Toyota Paseo and 185/60R14 Vredestein Hi-Trac Tires
- 15" Momo Racer wheels with 205/50R15 Falken Azenis RT-615 (which you can see on the pics)
- 16" BSA wheels with 205/40R16 Yokohama H4S
- Front brakes from a 1992 Toyota Paseo (254mm instead of 238 mm) Brembo discs and PBR Ceramic Pads
- EP82 Rear disc brake conversion
Interior:
- Glanza V cluster
- Autometer 2 5/8" Boost gauge
- Innovate LM-1 Wideband module and data acquisition module DL-32
- Lowered steering wheel (ajusted to my height)
- Short shifter, raised back to original height (sleeper!! hahaha) (ajusted to my height)
- Hi and low boost switch (5 and 12 psi)
Drag race time:
14.1 @ 96 mph, on the 6th of July 2008 on slicks
Some pics of me lapping with the car:
This is how the car used to look like, 4 years ago, when I bought it... except the wheels, because that was already changed!
Thanks for visiting. Let me know what you think!
