KNIGHT RIDER STYLE SCANNER LIGHT BUILD
After seeing the new Knight Rider movie (even though it was a mustang), the light was pretty cool in the ram air scoops. I wanted to do something similar. I have a background in electronics so it wasn't too bad.
Construction Materials:
64 8mm 45,000mcd wide angle LED's (note..normal LED's are only 3,000mcd bright. $20.00
1 10x8 perf board $5.00
Knight Rider Scanner kit from Ebay for $15.00.
Some Plastic and plastic screws for the box. $10.00
Light Diffuser (The diamond shaped sheets you get for the tube style lights in your house) $5.00
Window Tint 20% $5.00
Total cost.....about $60.00 not including some wires, toggle switch, etc. Plus about 8 hours to assemble it.
Here's the board with the LEDs attached. This is 3 different boards. I had to make it flexible or I'd never be able to get it inside my hood. You can see the wires in the 2nd picture. I have the kit driving 2 LED's on each side. 2 of them are in series and those 2 are in parallel with the other 2 on the second board. That was the limit on this knight rider circuit. I would need to use transistors to drive more and I didn't want to get into that.

I loved knight rider as a black bird but your car looks a lot cooler. It should have been in the new knight rider instead of a mustang.5* I didn't install the lambos myself had them done at a local shop that installs them.
