Speedy_Mustang's 1987 Pontiac Trans Am

Hi there. This is a 1987 Pontiac Trans Am GTA the very first year for the GTA. Almost everything on it is stock except for the exhaust that my Dad replaced quite afew years ago when he still had ownership of it. Other than that it still has the stock 305ci engine in it. It produces 215hp. Not bad I suppose, but it could be alot better.
So let me tell you the story about this car. My Dad bought it 2 years used in 1989. Only one person had ever owned it up until my Dad bought it. He paid $15,000 Canadian for it. What he was really looking for at the time was a 1988 Trans Am Notchback, but whenever he went to a dealership asking about them they had absolutly no idea what he was talking about. Eventually he gave up on looking for a Notchback and decided to start looking for a GTA Trans Am instead. So one day he was roaming around in Regina, Saskatchewan and decided to go to Regina Motor Products to see if they had anything that he was looking for. Sure as hell they had this 1987 Trans Am GTA sitting on the lot. At that point he knew that he MUST have it. So...obviously he bought it. It used to be his everyday car, but people would keep on coming around and pry all of the emblems off and kick the center caps off of the rims. Eventually it got so scratched up from this that he had to get it re-painted. When he got it repainted he decided to put a very tiny bit of pearl blue in it. Luckely a good friend of ours owns an autobody shop. So he repainted it for him at no charge whatsoever. So this went on for quite some time and eventually he got a new car. As crazy as it may sound he also drove it durning winter which he said was a major pain in the ass because of the clearance from the ground to the bottom of the car.
Anyways, thats a breif story of my car. Thanks for reading and enjoy the pictures.
