Just some random pictures taken April 2 2007

Just got done waxin it. Thought I'd get some pictures cause I didn't know how long it would last with this kind of weather. Notice my custom seat cover for the rear seats. A $12 blanket I bought from my school, just draped over the seats. Yeah it covers the seat belts and all cause nobody ever rides back there cause there ain't no room! The only thing that ever goes back there is my bag.

My car in the shadow of my parents stock 19' V10 Excursion, parked outside only because of my leaky car. In the picture on the right you can see a sliver of our 31' camper, only moved by that behemoth of a Ford. Lol Those are the stock lights. I'd like to get new, brighter ones.

This is pretty much the only amount of rust on the car, right behind the passenger side rear wheel well. I figured this helped get started by the fender bender. There is also some starting above both of the rear fenders, due to the car being driven on these Pennsylvania roads. Salt, rough roads and bad drivers. Lol. These are the original stock rims. They are looking rougher and rougher as time goes on. I'm thinking about getting new ones. Maybe 17" 5 spoke with some all-season/performance tires.

Yeah most of these were taken on easter, it finally stopped snowing. I have the passenger side rear interior paneling tore out because i wanted to find the leak. I sealed what i thought was the leak up, but i didn't. I found that out by washing it the next day and the water comes in quicker than it did before! It doesn't have to follow the interior panels to get inside. The weather stripping isn't bad tho.
Today I also found out that this car has been hit before, in the passenger side rear quarter. Just a fender bender though. This happened before my sister had it tho. It was a pullout dent tho. I'm thinking that this has something to do with the hatch/roof. Somebody has sealed it before and it worked for a while, but not long enough! Lol The black tar-like goo that you see in the last picture is where the person sealed it, now the water just runs right over that. Luckily it didn't discolor anything. It did however warp the piece of flimsy plywood that covers the spare tire under the carpet in the back.
Getting the interior panels out proved to be a headache. Just to get that one panel that i wanted out i had to take out 3 other ones. The one where the hatch locks into the car, the door jam one and the overhead one that helps keep the headliner up.
Also notice that there is no speaker where one is supposed to be. I think it was broke during the collision and never replaced. There isn't one in the other side either tho. I also found some old speaker wire that went to the back storage area where at one point in time there was some sort of sound enhancing device i was told.
So the only speakers that work are the ones in the doors, which surprise me because the whole system sounds decent with only two speakers. I was told the speakers in the dash are dummy ones, I don't know if they came stock like that or where blown out and no replacements could be found or were bought.

Its in my parents garage cause its been leaking from the hatch when it rains. Its been like 30 degrees for a while. there was 3 nice days so far this year and i took advantage of them by cleaning up my car, my girlfriends car (91 vw golf) my grams car (2001 mercury sable) and my parents car (2005 ford excursion). I forgot about the leak, cause its been winter and its only snowed. When its parked outside for the night frost accumulates on the inside of the windows because of the moisture from the water leaking in when it unthaws. I guess this is what would be called a winter leak. Lol
Its washed, waxed, the interiors vacuumed and armoralled and it ready for summer cruisin! The original paint still shines great!

I put on a cone air filter. I took off the stock air box and just used the stock hose that went from the old air box to the throttle body. I seemed to notice a little difference in performance. Don't know the numbers but it was noticeable. The cone filter seemed very heavy and it was putting a lot of pressure on the air hose that it is connected to. So where the stock air box bolts on I bolted a piece of metal to hold it up from sagging, twisting the air tube and hitting other stuff.
I got my car out of the garage now. Its raining outside and my car still has a leaky hatch, roof whatever you want to call it.
I wasn't too happy about this. I put a bucked inside to catch the water so it wouldn't get on the seats. The water isn't dripping on anything but the seats. So I guess thats a plus, kinda. Lol. The interior is still tore out. I didn't want to put it back in just in case it still leaked. I put 3/4 of a tube of automotive goop where we thought it was leaking but htat didn't help. I don't know what else to do with the leak.
