1992 Mitsubishi Galant VR-4 #521 of 1000
This is my 92 Galant VR-4, #521 of 1000 imported into the U.S. for 1992. The exterior color is "Kensington Grey" which was only available for the 92 model year in the U.S. My car is also equipped with a sunroof, making it one of the rarer VR-4's for 92.

Background:
Galant VR-4's came with the venerable 4G63 DOHC Turbocharged engine, also found in the U.S. market DSM (Talon/Laser/Eclipse) cars. Specially equipped with AWD, 4 wheel steering, leather interior and a unique body kit, these plain looking sedans were capable of some remarkable performance for their time. The GVR-4's enjoyed success in the WRC of the late 80's and early 90's and quickly created a following for these cars that continue to this day. Easily modified and tweaked, these are the perfect "sleeper" on the road. No one really gives it a second glance, which is a good thing sometimes. C'mon, it looks like something a retiree would drive to the grocery store on the weekend. This makes it that much more painful, when you stick it in and break it off in some cocky pouge's a** on the street. The beauty of this car is that you can have a slightly modded daily driver up to a full on race car. This car can do it all with the proper preperation. The only real limit is your budget, skill, imagination and determination.

My Car:
I had to go to Colorado for my car. Sad, but true. There just wasn't anything really available in the area that was worth the time or money. If you want a detailed account of the trip up into Colorado to get the car, check out Page 2. Looking back on it now, I'd probably do it again for the right car.
Once I got the car back home, I started to do some work to it. Maintenance, along with some upgrades to replace some parts that might be suspect, due to the car's age. Why just 'replace" when you can "upgrade" for a bit more? Here's a mod list of what the car currently has on it and what's in store for the future.
I don't have a specific goal for this car. I just wanted to enhance it's performance slightly without going too overboard. The car will retain most of the factory options, such as A/C, cruise and power steering. I'm also not looking to hack the car up. I just want a reasonably quick, daily driver sleeper. If I have to monitor 6 different gauges, and use race gas every day, well it's just not fun to drive anymore. Anyway, Here's a current mod list.
Note: Need to get some updated pics up soonest. These are from the day after I got the car home.
