I wanted to build a false floor because I thought it would look cool and all. Half way through I decided that building one is a b*tch to design myself. I did stick through it though!
Before the false floor. Notice the wires and crap I have to deal with.
Planing out the design of the false floor before actually installing it
Since I am going to have plexiglass "windows" to view the amps, I made a recess on the top floor so the plexiglass would be even with the floor.
"Installed" - but I purchased audio carpet to make it purdy :)
The carpeted version
Almost there....
INSTALLED!!! well, not really...
Still missing a sub - I have since installed it.
These are the amps that I have installed:
2x 1000w Pioneer amp for the subs
1x 600w Pioneer for the component speakers
I have cut the Lexan (It is cheaper and more readily avaliable) to shape and since screwed it in. If you decide to use Lexan, be sure to predrill the holes you'll use - otherwise it will crack!
