I bought this 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu on June 12, 2008. It has a 454-ci big-block and TH-400 automatic transmission. It was originally a 6-cylinder car, but when the previous owner installed the 454, he put "396" badges on it (I guess since that was the largest engine a Chevelle came with that year). I checked the block codes to make sure and "bingo!" - a 1973 454 block but now with all new internals and performance parts.
My father bought this 1969 Pontiac Firebird on July 20, 2007. These images were taken at a recent car show when it was still under previous ownership. It has a Chevrolet small-bloack 350-ci with headers, Edelbrock intake manifold, Accel HEI distributor, Rochester Quadrajet and a wicked cam.
These group shots were taken right after I bought the Chevelle.
I bought this 1972 Ford Mustang Mach 1 in July of 2004. It had a 2-bbl (2V for Ford guys) 351-ci Cleveland and a C-4 transmission. Soon after buying it I bought a 1971 4-bbl 351-ci Cleveland and C-6 transmission in hopes of doing an engine and transmission conversion when I had time. I decided to sell it a while after buying a '70 Chevelle. I never did get to do the engine and transmission conversion.
My dad owns this white 1975 Camaro which he bought in 1982. It was a daily driver for years, and was also my first car when I turned 16.
This Cutlass should be on CarsInBarns.com. It's a 1971 Oldsmobile Cutlass S Holiday Coupe which I bought from an uncle for $500. The body is in rough shape (it sat on a farm for years, destroyed by weather, sheep shit, and the occassional bump by a tractor; it needs both quarter panels and a new fender), but it came with a 1970 455-ci big-block which runs perfectly. In stock form it puts out about 365-hp and 500-lbs/ft of torque.
Below is my dad's '77 Camaro LT (rolling-chassis) he bought a couple years ago.
The current plan for it is to install the 350-ci that came with my Chevelle along with a Borg-Warner 5-speed. The body is in great condition (it still has the original paint, and the only thing wrong with it is a small scratch on the left quarter panel). The hood is in pretty bad shape though (perhaps not in the image, but the fiberglass L-88 cowl is separating from the steel hood).
