montrealboy's 1988 Mazda MX-6

I got this 1988 Mazda MX-6 in june 2006 from a friend of my family, it has the F2 fuel injected engine 2.2L 108 000miles only.

I won't make it a racer, Im aware it only got 130hp and Im not interested in upgrading it since the gain in power vs the cost of the upgrades is just too low(somehow even with 130hp its impresses me and my friend how fast it can accelerate, it can hold strong and sometime beat many more recent sport cars cars(talking about things like honda or hyndai tiburon not a 350z)

I am looking to buy some mags in the near future, I will probably go with some old style BBS because modern looking mags don't go well with old cars.
Ive put an exhaust tip thats a bit larger, Ive cut the original tip which was ridiculously small in diameter. This one gave my car a sound with a little bit more bass, just enough for me to hear it and for my neighbors to not hear it;) I could just buy a big muffler but I think there is NOTHING more stupid than putting a big loud muffler on a 130hp automatic car:)

Other than that the car looks pretty clean right now, woudn't believe this car got my age!!(19yrs old). Interior is mint, exterior got no rust, the bottom and engine bay are looking great thanks to intensive antirust treatment over the years by the previous owner.

Since I got it much of the work I did was to make it a perfectly reliable healthy and safe daily driver(oil, brakes, spark plugs and wires, suspensions, distributor, alternator, all belts, oil air and fuel filters, valve cover gasket and many other things. Over all it really didn't cost me much since I did all that stuff by myself. I would say about 300-400$ over 1year to ensure I got a healthy ride. Thing is I got this car for free so didn't mind spending that money to give it a super tune up.

June 1st 2007:

Last mod I did and probably the coolest: made myself a custom mount for my psp(its 1mm wide almost unoticeable)
