This here is my '85 Ford Sierra XR4i. I've never owned a V6 car before, and I must say that it's been quite a pleasant experience so far. Well maybe except the mileage it gets, but that's in comparison with our B2 Passat.
When I first saw this car, I knew it had to be mine. Aside from painted bumpers, this car is bare stock and, in addition to that, partially restored. The guy I bought it from had it as a hobby car and put a lot of soul into it. I promised him not to ruin it :) Also, this car didn't even have a spot of rust, which was VERY impressive considering the car's age and our road&weather conditions. It also has a nice package - power steering and electric windows/mirrors, computer, sunroof... and no ABS, which is more a good thing IMO.
In two months any noticeable problems were fixed (front brake discs and rear shocks were changed) and now I have time until spring to figure out what I want to do with it. I plan to keep it as stock as possible, but I definitely will change the dashboard (right now it has cracks) and seats (a bit worn out and shakey). And since I'll have to change them anyway, I'm thinking of putting in a dash from a later model and bucket type seats... I also would like to change the muffler and switch to dual exhaust but I'm not sure if it will be a good idea since the gas tank on Sierra is placed pretty low. A bit of polish and new rims wouldn't hurt too, I guess :)
