This is my 1991 Chrysler Dynasty(Canadian Version LE)If you want to know about me check out my space - www.myspace.com/jajadee.
I bought the dynasty for $300! It only had 70,000 km on it. Now it did need a transmission... well now that I know ALOT more about these A604's... I probably could have fixed it by wiggling the connectors, but hey that's part of livin' and learnin'. I ended up getting a great used Rebuild for $500 and had it installed for another $500. At least I have a good feeling about the car now, as it doesn't shift into LIMP mode when ever it feels like it.(If you have any Trannie questions.... let me know and I can email you my PDF manuals). The car had to be saftied here in Vancouver.... so It got four New tires(smoking deal for $200), and a new drive belt.
I took the stereo out of the Shadow before I sold it, and installed it in the Dynasty(I sold the aftermarket instal for $60... so the dynasty really cost $240). I upgraded the speakers to Pioneers all round(6.5 in the doors, and 6x9 in the deck, tweeters in the dash)) everything just dropped right into the the stock spaces. I wish I had grabbed my amps and subs from the Shadow before I sold it.... but it sold so fast that I didn't get the chance. I will find a new set soon.
Right before winter I replaced the coolant and thermostat(I think it was the original still in the car), Changed the oil with Synthetic, Changed the brake fluid, and trans fluid one more time.
Love this car....With such low milage it is like driving a new car. Power Windows,8 way power seats, Power locks, Cruise, Self dimming rear view mirror(crazy) and loads of power....
FEBRUARY 2007 UPDATE : well not much to report as I don't drive the car very much. I have aircare next month so I thought it would be a good time to replace the O2 sensor. Found one on ebay for $20 plus a little for shipping. IT WAS BRAND NEW and AN ORIGINAL CHRYSLER PART ---- dealer wanted over $200! I soaked the old one for a couple days in release oil... still was a pain in the ass to remove... But dad to the rescue with all the right tools and five minutes later New sensor installed. Seems to drive a little nicer... perhaps the fuel economy will go up?
Well shall see what happens next...

Tucked into the snow

Dynasty camping..

73,000 km..... SWEEEEET!!

new and old sensors.. I had to break the old one to get a socket on it as $40 for the special removal socket was a bit steep.

All installed and good to go...
