when it becomes mine when the company retires it, i plan on putting more aggresive tires on the stock rims, fixing the steering, new clutch, possibly new differentials, and possibly a new transfer case. i dont think i need to lift it, and i dont wanna get rid of the extremely torquey straight six. i also want to find something that will allow me to mount the spare tire on the grill. i have seen some trucks like this with the spares strapped across the grill, and it looks so cool.

it has a 240 inline six mated to a 4 speed manual tranmission, and four-wheel-drive.

4-18-08 - first oil change in a long long time. Also changed the steering dampener bushings which kinda solved the shimmy. at least you can drive it faster than 45 now.

my family also uses this truck as its primary work truck, and recently the local paper featured an article about this truck and how my family used it to tow 154 tires out of a local lake, including 38 tractor tires. in total, they hauled over 8,000 pounds of tires out of the lake. and thats just the tires. there was also 2 dock spans each about 40 feet long, a huge metal basket, and hundreds of cinder blocks.

just so you know, you cant put abs on this truck(would be nice it would be expensive and a pain in the ass to get to work). upgrade your truck to front disk brakes. theres a (expensive) kit in lmc truck. its about $900 and comes with everything you need. they even have lots replacement parts. but i cant find a header to fit the 4x4 six cyl. if you could get some pic of the floor layout i would like to see it. im thinking of making my 100 a 4x4 but i need to see the interior of another 4x4 so i know what i need to do. still, i love this truck and i would buy it if i could.

Either the newspaper is wrong or you are. The newspaper article says that a 1963 pick-up was used to haul off the tires. That was just somethin that caught my eye.
