This is what my Toyota Corolla FX16 GTS looked like when I first bought her in 1998 from a friend.
After I did all the mods and upgrades to her she turned out quite nice.

Ok the system took some turns at bat with 2 Alpine MRVT-503 amplifiers which were exceptional in performance and looks and I even went through a few styles of sub boxes

As time progressed I did more to the system with 3 piece components from JL Audio (XR653CS). The 6.5" midbass driver in the floor facing straight up, thats right straight up. Then the 4" midrange driver in the factory locations in the dash locations and the the 1" alluminum tweeters in the upper portion of the door in custom molded panels just like the 6" drivers. Figerglass is your friend and bondo and kitty hair are like lovers. If you are wondering how the sound stage was, well 3 first place trophys in the professional division of I.A.S.C.A. (International AutoSound Competition Association) might tell you something but to see it on a Linear X RTA with a near perfect flat score tells more.

Other things like over 350 sq. feet of Dynamat Xtreme deadoning material, 5 cans of triple expanding spray foam and fiberglass in all squeaky places to tighten up the ride. Its like using a bazooka to hunt rats, overkill but the squeaks are gone. A 1 farad cap for a bandaid on the electrical system and an SVR Westco 850 cold cranking battery designed especially for sound systems with well over 3 coninuous hours of thumping bass. Not to be confused with those weak ass optima batteries. Serious competitors use real batteries not rv and boat batteries. Well now all the wire by Monster Cable and all the music was free from XM Radio.
Eventually I finished her up with a Xtant 603A # channel amp which comes actually with the capability of running 2 more non fading channels for bi-amping front channels or adding ambience with low rear channels. I opted for the bi-amping with 75 watts to my 4" and 1" speakers per channel and 75 watts to each 6.5" midbass drivers and then 300 mono watts to the Eclpise Alluminum 25 pound 10" subwoofer. The original alluminum cone speaker. The last box was placed in the rear right corner of the car in a fiberglass enclosure with a grill ring to protect it. The Xtant 603a is a 29 pound amp that is big and bulky. I went to a welder and he made a 1/4 thick plate steel amp rack suspended on 2 1/4" thick tube steel bars and the had him weld it to the rear frame of the car. Then I built a fiberglass frame fassad around the amp and the after mounting it to the heavy gauge steel I stripped the align heads that mounted it so to make it hard to leave me if someone wanted it bad enough to steal.
The alarm is Viper with radar, multilpe pain generators(sirens in the car as loud as a train wreck) and only 1 lock cylinder on the car driver door with no way to open with a slimjim. Glass break sensors and a killer insurance policy say "if you steal it I'm Covered". No car is theft proof but no one ever stool my car.
