Exterior Upgrades: (in order of completion)
Upper grille from a Focus ST170. Similar to the RS and other European grilles, but with a body colored trim piece. It gets rid of the turn indicators located in the American style grille, although I had to secure my indicator bulbs in place behind it until I could purchase the ST170 headlights (which have an integrated turn signal). Also pictured is the European style radiator cover which has a funnel connection for the intake snorkel.
Painting my new shorty antenna, the antenna base and rear window trianlges so they are gloss black instead of the (faded) stock black color.
Front brake calipers painted yellow.
I did try and paint my b-pillars at the same time as the rear window triangles, but I had a little bit of a mishap and they didn't turn out good at all. So here I just ordered a set of the SVT ones.
Yes, I debadged my car. Why? Because it is no longer a true ZX3. By the spring I plan to have a cerimonial 'rebadging' of it with the ST170 emblem.
Custom Focaljet.com decal I made up. I put one on both of my rear windows. Look for me on the streets.
Just out of the box and straight from Germany, my new In.pro. headlights styled after the Focus ST170. Note how these headlights have three main bulbs IN the unit (low beam, high beam and turn siginal) as opposed to the American style with a single high/low beam and the turn signal in the grille. Also put a full set of Sylvania Silverstar bulbs in (turn indicator as well) and the light these puppies give off is incredible!
First thing to go on this spring; a set of 17' rims off the EAP Focus SVT. MMMMM.... you can see the yellow calipers and drums better now.
Stock European Focus taillights. Top bulb is wired for running/ brake lights. Lower bulb, in the amber section, wired for turn signal. *note that I do not current have reverse lights. The US Spec reverse lights are located in the position of the Euro turn signals. The Euro reverse lights, when I get them, will be in the rear bumper.
Custom rear window vinyl. In addition to the Focaljet.com decal that I created, I made a Focus Sport decal, and my number designation (17) for both side of the car.
Took the time just recently to properly wire the ST170 headlights (I think...) to have the amber bulb on while driving, as well as functioning as a turn signal.
I lost the stock 4x4 look, finally... Intrax Sport lowering springs paired with KYB AGX Adjustable struts for a 1.5" drop front and a 1.75" drop rear.
Focus ST170 rear bumper. Bumper now contains the Rear Fog/ Reverse lights that I lost when I installed the EDM Focus taillights.
