Interior Upgrades: (in order of completion)
MOMO Superturismo Pedals; Somewhat reminiscent of the SVT pdeals. Not some cheap ricer stuff here, I had to drill holes through my stock pedals to install these boys.
MOMO Race Carbon shift knob with the reverse cutout for a Focus. Has a brushed alluminium finish that matches the pedals very nicely. Steeda shiter bezel also pictured. *Shifter bezel was not installed on new center console
Replaced my stock silver radio surround with a black one from a Focus in a salvage yard. Although I can't really show it, I replaced my cigarette tray with the felt lined utility tray found in the same car as the black radio surround. Also added the silver HVAC controls as found on the SVT.
My best purchase yet; Leather seats with red inserts from an SVT. Wasn't even planning on this one, it just sort of happened. Found a gentleman who had a full set and was willing to sell them for $400. I drove to Maryland, checked them out in person, and took them home. The rest of the story? See for yourself.
The red trim honestly looks better in a yellow car than I thought it would, though I might re-upholster the insert.
Insignia CD-RW/MP3/WMA head unit. Has a flip down face, a front USB port and lights up the same color as my gauge face. The adapter to fit the 4 inch radio opening is from Scoche Audio.
SVT main gauge cluster. 160mph speedometer instead of the 140mph on stock ZX3s. I did not install the aux. oil gauges because I will be using aftermarket gauges in their place.
*Added overlay on 2-15-07
Custom gauge overlay from Speedhut. I really like blue better than the green Ford uses for their gauge colors, so I bought an overlay similar to first one, but made to fit the SVT cluster.
ST170 center console w/o armrest. Finally I can reach my seat adjustment knobs without driving myself nuts! And added a little carbon fiber sticker with my shift pattern on it.
Big thanks to fellow Focus owner for this little piece. Its a custom made gauge bezel with two gauge pods fiberglassed in where the coin tray used to be. I'm using it to hold an oil temp and oil pressure gauge. Also seen in the second picture is the volt gauge on my a-pillar.
I went out a few weeks ago and bought some leather/ vinyl fabric to use in an upcoming project. On a whim I decided to see if I could make myself new boots for my shifter and e-brake. I think they came out pretty damn amazing, and for only a fraction of what I would have paid if I bought them custom made! Also in these pictures you can see the new ZXTuner short shifter I installed. Feels soooo good.
A subtle little change that I feel adds to the interior; silver door handles. These are a standard piece on the European Focus ST170, but as I discovered, those cars use a slightly different handle design then our American version and do not fit properly. So, I took a day pulled my handles off, sanded, primed, painted and clear coated them. The result looks stock to those not familiar with the Focus. I matched the silver HVAC surround damn near perfectly.
