Here's my 1998 Plymouth/Dodge Neon, Cricket.

From the side

Here are some glamour shots, showing her curves

She's riding on 16" Enkei OR52's

My stereo is powered by a Pioneer deck, pushing 2 6"x9" Kenwoods, and 2 6" Rounds. In my trunk sits a 1.7 Cu. Ft. sealed box housing a 12" Audiobahn subwoofer- powered by a Sony Xplod 800W monaural amplifier.

In the back I installed JDM Black tail lights

I also upgraded the headlights and installed TYC Elegante crome euro lights

I also put on a 15% window tint to all 4 side windows.

My latest addition was a Dynomax Performance Exhaust System(cat-back)

That's it for now, check back in a few weeks for additional modifications.

Any comments/suggestions would be great, thanks for looking.

Because contrary to popular belief there is no big advantage to doing it. They both run 16 valves and bore and stroke are the same. Dodge fudged the horspower ratings so that the DOHC looked better to try and make money on them. Would you want to spend $1000 on a motor that only had in real life only 5
+ - more HP I know I wouldn't so they fudged rating the DOHC at 155 and the SOHC 135 in correctly. Most of the guys who race in road racing and such also prefer the SOHC because there are less moving parts. Check out my link for Allpar they have all kinds of stuff about Neons and other Chrysler muscle. The only bad thing is that there is more out there for the DOHC because of that but you can still get or make just about everything you can possible want for an SOHC you just have to look. Also point of reference if you are going to build one use a 95 block and head if you can find one they are better you can do a 96 and newer with no consiquences but the 95 has better pvc sytem and a couple other things. Any other question just ask I don't mind. You can e-mail me at neonscan@yahoo.com If you want to talk direct just let me know in subject it's you.
Thanks
