Hey fellow Merc Owner. I didnm't know those existed. Pretty cool. Where did ya find it? What's different on it than a Ford? Stop by and check out my '72 Cougar Al

Hi Adam
Great truck to start with. The M100 are real head turners when fixed up. Stock body with nice motor and trans seems preferable.

Why a 350 CID chevy needs a 350 turbo trans? It does not need one. Sometimes it is what you are used to working on and what is commonly available the way you want it that makes the differance. Both my fords have chevrolet engines in them. I do like the Ford 302 they put in the mustang but not for any kind of cam or big carbs. Best of luck with your ride.
Jerry
