1981 Chevy K30 Scottsdale 1-ton 4x4 Crew Cab. "The Little Crew Cab". 454, SM465, NP205, 14-bolt rear, Dana 60 front.
Bought in 2001 with logging money for $2700. I put a 4" lift and 33's on it, then later went up to a 6" lift and 35's. Took over the main towing and hauling duties after the 1980 GMC got "retired" to mud truck status. The only thing my GMC lacked for "ultimate work truck" in my mind was a Dana 60 front, and 4 doors, and this had all of the above while still being a big block 4spd/205 truck. Plus it was already blue, my favorite color.

Has had a couple 454 motors in it since the original started knocking. Went from 4.10 gears what it originally had, to other axles I swapped in with 4.56s. Has 35" BFG Mud Terrains and a Warn 12000lb winch. Current motor is one I pulled out of a motorhome.

This winter it is getting a new rebuilt 454, bored .020 over with flattop pistons, 781 heads, Comp 270 Hydraulic roller cam, .566 valve lift, roller rockers, Edelbrock performer intake. Motor is ready to go, but I'm waiting until I get all the parts to finish the 5spd conversion at the same time (NV4500 5spd with NP205) as well as replacing the front core support and fender, possibly the bed, and the front axle (for one that doesnt have bad king pins).

All of the Fleet:

I like those tires, how do they handle in the snow? And what kind are they? Check out mine:)

Great looking truck, that thing could squish my car, looks mean and ready to do some major off-roadin'. What's next to do to it? Even with the mods I have I could not do any off-roadin' in my DOdge, it just would not do very well.
