dmp88's 1960 Chevrolet NomadCPP?s brand new series 500 steering box in the mock up stage.
dmp88's 1960 Chevrolet NomadTop view of the box mounted to the frame, no conversion bracket is needed to mount this like would have to used with the 605 box. These boxes are casted exactly for this application and bolt up like a factory box would.
dmp88's 1960 Chevrolet NomadBolt holes in the frame had to be increased to 7/16.

Man Dan 5 stars all the way this is a perfect example of what the coolest American 'station wagon' looks like. The first model recreational sport vehicle. Do you happen to know anything at all about the original 1954 prototype or concept Nomads. http://www.netcarshow.com/chevrolet/1954-nomad/ Please stop by and rate my 78 when you have spare time. Terry

Love the job your doing to the wagon, one question for you....your not doing all that to the motor and then leaving it with its stock drum brakes are you? Gave you 5 stars for the restoration, check out our garage when you get the chance, Ed @ S.H.R.
