I purchased this car from the original owner with a little over 31,000 original miles. I drove 13 hours from Benton, Arkansas to Jackson, Wisconsin on Wednesday, Oct 2nd, and stayed in the Hawthorne Inn that night. I went and picked her up Thursday morning. Here is a pic after she was loaded on the car trailer and ready to roll.

On the trip home that day, I had a blowout on the trailer 7 miles north of Salem, IL on I-57 south. I had NO SPARE TIRE for the trailer! A state trooper pulled over and informed me there was a tire shop 7 miles down the road in Salem. I was going to limp down there with trailer in tow, but he informed me that wouldn't be legal. I had to disconnect the trailer and leave the car and trailer on the side of I-57 for 45 minutes while I went and got a new tire put on the trailer rim. Talk about sweating bullets! I just knew the car and trailer would be gone when I got back.

Here she is sitting in front of my house on the trailer, waiting to be unloaded.

And here she is sitting on the street after I got her off the trailer, still dirty from getting rained on during the trip home.

The trip home took me 15 hours due to the blowout, slower speeds towing the car, and rain about 1/3 of the way back.

The original owner of the car was co-owner of a Pontiac delaership in Milwaukee, WI and bought the car new. He only drove it about 4 months out of the year, and kept it garaged and covered when it wasn't being used.

Hey, I LOVE YOUR CAR. I am really in to Daytona 500 Pace Cars, and I am lucky enough to have one used in the 2000 race. Your car is awesome. There is a Pace Car club that does pre race PARADE laps (not high speed, but in front of the crowds) before some NEXTEL cup races if you are interested. The club has Pace cars, Commemorative cars, and Anniversary cars. The "Pace Car Club of America" does the Michigan race every year, and some other NEXTEL CUP races. 2005 will have MICHIGAN, and tentatively the BRICKYARD 400, and the two LOWES races. The cars go on display, and then do a parade lap in front of the crowd before the races. The link to that is: pacecarusa.com I also have info about it on my car domain site, and a site I link to about my car. Check it out if you're interested. We had a 1999 Trans Am with us this year at MIS.

I love the blue fog lens covers. I didnt see anywhere on your pages where you bought them. Could you let me know where you got them? And can you get them in red too? Im not worried about tickets. If I see a cop Ill just switch them off. I live in canada.Im pretty sure they got better things to do that hassle me over christmas lights.
