This car is coming from Los Angeles to Toms River, NJ, soon... Its a 1965 VW KG, with a 1600dp from a 7o Ghia Autostick. Were in the process of rebuilding the engine now, weve torn it down to just a case, pistons, cam and crank, and did not mess with the ignition.. we got it without various things.. ignition coil, air cleaner(which wouldnt fit in the 65 anyway), and we need to buy a flywheel, clutch and pressure plate, sell the torque converter, sell the oil pump, get a new one, and get an air cleaner for the stock Solex 34 pict 4 carb.. the whole engine is stock.. pushin 50 HP.. improvement over a stock 1200 in the 65s, also 6 volt.. that was only 36 hp... we need to find out if the car is stil 6 volt, the engine is 12, so we will most likely convert the car to 12. The body itself has very little rust, a major plus for KGs.. has new tires, rims, trunk and lid.. the interior was redone before being stored in a garage for 19 years.. my uncle bought the car, pushed it down the street, and put it on blocks... thats pretty much it.. if youre into VW's, or anythign aircooled.. go to www.shoptalkforums.com..
