This is my new 1997 GLE Maxima. I bought this car in Aug of 2006 after my 96 Maxima was totaled by a drunk driver BITCH. The car was bone stock when I got it and stayed that way for about 1month till I started modding it and now it's Sept of 2008 and have not stopped yet.  My best track times are as follow a 13.96@95mph with a 2.0 60ft on a 75zex dry shot of nitrous and street tires as a Auto.  Since I have converted to a 5-speed, added a variable intake manifold, cutout and converted to a wet nitrous kit. I havn't sprayed at the track with this setup but my best n/a 5-speed times are a 14.3@95mph and a 2.1 60ft.  I finally hit the track in April with a 100zex/85nx shot but was having alot of problems with the nitrous staying on and only ran a 14.1@100mph. Hopefully I'll get the bugs out next time out and grab a mid to low 13sec pass. Well on 11/2008 I finally got back to the track and ran a 14.0@99.98mph n/a and a 13.4@109mph on nitrous and my best mph of the night was a 110.17mph but my 60ft's sucked ass.

Well I finally got my nitrous working great killed alot of mustangs, gto's, turbo civics, etc, etc, etc on the street.  Never made it to the track cause something would always happen and the last time I tried it rained.  Then after 2years of spraying and 163,xxx miles on the motor it's starting to get tired and knock due to my intake breaking and trash getting into the motor.  So now it's time to swap a 2002 Maxima 3.5 motor into my car with a few extra mods of course.

Every year the maxima community has a event called MAXUS and this year it will be on the east coast in the Washington DC area.  There will be a car show, dyno, drag and cruise.  Here is a link to the site with more info hope to see some of you guys there.

What year millenia has the 11.5lb wheels? I gotta start looking for a set. Did you happen to weigh the saw blades?

Thanks. I cant post threads on the org yet because I'm a newbie, But I actually finished it today and drove it. Everything was actually perfect. It's set at 10 pounds and it is just ridiculous. I had so much fun driving it today that I stayed out till 11:30 just driving around punching it on every straight away. The sound and raw acceleration are indescribable. I plan to make a video so people can see what I'm talking about.
