This page is devoted to my 1990 subaru brumby. It is a replacement for my 1992 brumby which was stolen and burnt in late march 2006.

I decided to do this so i can always remember it as i only have a few camera fone pics of my old ute to remember it by.

My old ute was very standard. standard tyres, no lift, no bullbar, no tow bar, bog standard, well the exterior and engine anyway... the interior was modded and customised to suit my needs. it had a custom centre console to suit my JVC head unit, it also had custom door trims to house my pair of Kicker 6" splits and pair of Eclipse 6" x 9", both were powered by an eclipse amp. on the dash was a small but handy tacho to keep an eyn on engine revs.

Due to an encounter with a deer(in australia???)at 100km/h late in october 2005, it had a new bonnet, radiator and other small trims (headlight surrounds, grill, etc) fitted in late 2005.
Here is a pic before it was stolen and one of after it was found.

Any way this page is about my new ute.

It is a 1990 Subaru Brumby, Purchased in early september 2006 in the capital of this great state, Brisbane, Queensland. I along with my brother, cousin and mate, drove the 1400km's from Townsville to collect and return the same 1400km's.
I must admit the return trip was less enjoyable than the trip down as i had nothing to listen to except the slight gearbox whine as the vehicle came with no head unit... almost three months later i finaly got around to fitting the new alpine head unit and pioneer front 6" componant speakers.

However this vehicle has many other positives that kept me entertained and also got me into a little trouble...

These positives are in the form of a 2" lift kit, 195,70R14 profile tyres mounted on 14" sunrasia rims, she also come with a custom bullbar and bumper replacement rear bullbar.

Even though the standard brumby has an offroad ability that is nothing short of amasing for its size, this lift kit and the larger tyres enhance these abilities. i have proven this twice so far showing up a TOYota Landcruser and Hilux, both also lifted and with larger tyres, considerably larger than mine (ie 32" and 30" respectivly).

There is much more to come including more lift, bigger tyres, a five stud convert to allow the larger tyres and better brakes and most importantly an ej22 swap using the motor out of my seies one liberty i purchased for $300, so keep tuned.
