My 1964 Triump Spitfire has been raced since 1973. I has been re-bodied twice and is currently running a fiberglass front-end, rear fenders, and rear decklid. It is powered by an 1147cc Spitfire engine; dry sumped, twin 1.25 in. SU's, roller rockers, race cam, double chain adjustable cam timing, aluminum water pump, Stahl headers, 15:1 compression, and puts out about 130 hp. This power is transferred to the locked rear-end via a Quaife Rocket close ratio gear box. I runs a full cage, on-board ESSFire system, and utilizes an Electromotive crank fire ignition. This sweet ride has 26 wins in the last 7 years, two regional championships, two divisional championships, and one Western States Championship. I competed in the 2003 SCCA Runoffs finishing mid-pack (19 out of 40) with eletrical problems. It has been a great ride but I will probably be rebuilding it this winter into a vintage racer, back dated to 1967.

U got a hot little racer dude. Sounds like u have put alot of work into it. Have have just started racing my herald with the 1147 engine. the class i race in requires the car stay close to standard. I hope to change from the solex to twin su's soon as the rules allow this.Im still working on the handling setup, the rear end is tricky to get right. I would love to see more about your car so i hope u add more on your site. kEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.
