This is my baby. In 1984 she was parked and didn't move until I got her in the summer of 2005. This is when I got her..
I started right away with the much needed body work. The biggest problem is finding body parts, and being in New England makes it pretty much impossible. So, the first project was making new lower quarters and lower front fenders. I will have the pictures of that on soon.
Next I removed the doors and made new lower door skins
this is my friend helping me hang the doors and put the door panels back on.
I made the hood with a 6in cowl next, pictures soon to come.
Once I had the quarters, fenders, doors and hood under control I began to do the finish work before paint.
I had the car painted black (because black is sick on rivi's) and started putting the pieces back together.
Now for the performance aspects of the car:
I completely rebuilt the motor myself here are the specs
-block bored and stroked to 494ci,
-Original iron heads with high performance 3 angle valve job with stage 3 valves and roller rockers,
-ported and polished, gasket matched,
-TA performance timing cover with high pressure oil system,
-redrilled oil passages,
-TA Performance Dampener,
-Stage 1 cam,
-Modified B&M 177 Supercharger with Edelbrock 850CFM carb,
-custom aluminum adapter plate I machined to addapt the supercharger to an Edelbrock B-4B intake,
-Water and Methynol injection System,
-TA performance fuel Pump

-I refabricated the original 4-link trailing arms, so now they are boxed and stronger

-6 inch Cowl
-33" BF Goodrich Tires for street driving
-31x14.5x15 M/T ET streets for the track
Future projects for the RIVI:
- Swap TH400 for a Muncie 4 speed
- Upgrade to Stage 2 aluminum heads
- Upgrade to Aluminum block when it is released
- Upgrade to a Dyers 8-71 Mega Blower
