This car was a proud car used as a daily driver for years and then pretty much forgotten until a nice guy in Colorado picked her up and started the restoration process. He fell on hard times and I picked the car up and have continued the process.

This baby is a 383 2-barrel and she attract attention everywhere. I have yet to go anywhere without at least two people stopping to give comments whether it be at a red light or even driving alongside me on the freeway yelling out the window.

As of Thanksgiving Day, 2006, she is pretty much complete except for the stereo system. This is not a complete restoration job with the engine and all but anything that was worn or looked like it was about to break was replaced with new parts. The original AM radio will stay and I will put an updated stereo in the car that can be easily removed if someone down the road wants a completely original car. But then.... I will probably be holding onto this car until I can no longer drive.

Cool ride. The wheels are just like the ones on that blue 1968 Newport Michelle Trachtenberg set off the alarm on in the movie "Harriet the Spy". I love that scene with the siren and flashing headlights. I know what U mean about attracting attention. While driving my 68 Newport, I met a 60s Mopar car...not sure if it was a Dodge Charger or a 300 but it was a fastback & looked like a Charger...anyway three arms flew out the window and up over the roof with their thumbs up and yelling out the window. LOL. Mine will get a new paint job next week I hope. Will be good to get it back.
