Matts Holden VE SS 2006 model Commodore

Hey people.
This is a small site to show pics and updates on my VE SS commodore i had bought in Nov 06.

I have ben following the build up of this car for the last 4 years. Reading webpages, buying magazines and looking for 'SPY SHOTS' of the newest 'all new' built commodore. I have been a holden fan since i could talk/walk/eat/breathe (but i have also been a subaru fan..so dont hate me) but this is the first BRAND NEW holden i have ever owned!

The VE SS is basically known to original commodore owners as a "SV8" commmdore. The VY/VZ model commodores had the SV8 and the SS. The SV8 was basically the only manual v8 model commodore you could buy but it had pretty much the bare minimum interior / body specs. The SS at the time had all the luxury parts like sports seats, leather, bodykit, big rims etc.

Lucky (IMHO) holden have gone back to the 'REAL' SS days. The older SS commodores and toranas were cars that had the 'raw racing/sports' appeal. It has the bodykit, the sports seats, the powerful V8 and a awsome drivetrain.... Hence why i bought this over the SS-V.
The SS-V is basically a luxury spec SS. It has the 19" rims, climate control, leather, 10speaker premium system and display.
For the extra $10,000 (au) i couldnt see the benifits...i'd prefer to spend that on the mods :)
