im 18, this is my '79 fairmont futura. its technically my 3rd car but we'll say its my second. (I'm up to 9 now) Originally, it came with a 3.3L inline six cylinder with a 1V carb. Can you say slow? and a C-4 automatic. That has changed recently. It now has a 302 punched out .030 over. I'm running E7 heads for now, a mild RV Comp cam, Hooker Super Comp equal length shorties. Atop the engine sits an Edlebrock Victor Jr. aluminum intake with a Holley 600 4v. I also converted it from automatic to standard shift, using a T-5. Besides the drivetrain, we also replaced the K-memeber, A-arms, struts, calipers, wheel cylinders, master cylinder, some brake lines, and rear shocks. Where the K-member attatches to the sub-frame it was swiss cheese so we had to cut that out and weld in new metal. Also, she will soon have an 8.8 inch rearend with 4.30 gears. I bought this car for $970 dollars in august of 2005. For the 2 years that i drove it in its stock form, i never had any real trouble with it. The has some minor body rot, but its a '79 from ohio with 115,000 miles on it. I'm not complaining. Its a pretty solid old car. Now that I've gotten it mechanically the way i want it, im going fix up the body and interior. As of now, i have 10-hole wheels that came off of my dad's '86 mustang GT.

Stock black wheels and beauty rings for winter. looks kinda sleathy...nah not really. Lol but it doesnt look too bad
